Providing access to hand sanitizer for vulnerable populations while saving jobs
An evacuated Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, a Sports Bar owner, and a Grandmother teamed up to form 86 Foundation - a nonprofit to get hand sanitizer into the hands of vulnerable populations- our local food banks, homeless shelters, military families, child care centers and others at risk. We admire and know so many hospitality workers who are now making hand sanitizer -instead of being laid-off- and we want to support them. Hand sanitizer and sanitizer spray supplies have become expensive and harder to find with the demand and sadly, with profiteers. That's why 86 Foundation is a NONPROFIT. Everyone deserves to be safe and hospitality workers need jobs. Cameron, Charlie, and Laura are committed to helping our hospitality workers and our communities. We know you are, too.
Covid-19 has rocked our world, and you and we are committed to rebuilding it. First, let's fight this virus. Hand sanitizer supplies are in short supply. We are part of putting neighborhoods back to work by supplying hand sanitizer to businesses at very competitive prices (and local delivery- free). For our non-profit arm, our fiscal sponsor assures 501c3 compliance, status, trust, and transparency for our donors, and we work with San Diego County nonprofits, food banks, and other social agencies to distribute this much-needed safety item for families and individuals at risk and in need. Our partners include the Feed America, Community Through Hope, and you.
We are focused on getting hand sanitizer into the hands of vulnerable populations and stopping the spread of Covid-19. We solicit donations and procurements from distilleries and breweries -as their tasting rooms have vanished. 86 keeps hospitality workers in jobs. And supply much needed hand sanitizer to those helping out during this pandemic- food banks, suppliers, military families, child care providers, and social agencies.
Your donations help us purchase from these converted distilleries/breweries and procure product AND donations so we can keep those at-high risk much safer..
